Xplosure – promotion company run by Jon Wing (also manager of the Barfly in Cardiff). Started in 1996 with 1st gig at Clwb Ifor Bach. 1997 saw bands like Stereophonics, Feeder Coldplay & Pavement pass through the ranks. Jon co-ordinated Radio 1 Live in Cardiff. Now also organises gigs at Cardiff Union & TJs in Newport.

Xpress Radio – Cardiff Student Radio Station. Managed by Karen Sharpe, with Claire Williams as one of the presenters. Set up in 1994, receiving Restricted Licence in '96. Now broadcasts on 87.9FM to a 7 mile radius around Cardiff, as well as internet streaming. (website)
